World star Rain has been invited to the official party for “2011 TIME 100” once again! On the 24th, Rain left the Incheon International Airport to attend the ‘TIME 100’ official party that is held in New York. He received a lot of attention and was flooded by flashing cameras by showing up at the airport with a copy of the TIME magazine on one hand.

Rain won honorable first place in TIME magazine’s online vote of “2011 100 Most Influential People in the World,” beating Jay Chou and Susan Boyle. The star showed off his popularity as a ‘world star’ once again by having the honor of being the first Asian celebrity to be selected in the “TIME 100” back in 2006 and being invited twice to the prestigious official party. Even among celebrities in the U.S., Hollywood star George Clooney is the only one to make it to the “TIME 100” list more than three times.

Along with Rain, the celebrities that have been selected in the “TIME 100” are Canadian musician Justin Bieber, this year’s Grammy Awards Best Male Pop Vocal Performance winner Bruno Mars, world star Sting, the heroine of the movie “Alice in Wonderland” Mia Wasikowska, and actor Mark Wahlberg.

Rain claimed “I would like to meet Barack Obama and Canadian singer Justin Bieber.” Also, during the interview before his departure, he stated, “I’m planning to join the army by the end of this year. After I complete my military duties, I plan to work freely as a singer and actor in the U.S.”

Meanwhile, Rain is currently in the middle of shooting the movie “Red Muffler” with Shin Sae Kyung. He plans to return back to Korea on the 28th after attending the official party.
