“The Greatest Love”: Cha Seung Won and Gong Hyo Jin’s ‘Kidnap Kiss’ to Be Their Last Kiss?

On yesterday’s episode of MBC’s hit drama “The Greatest Love,” Cha Seung Won garnered much attention for kidnapping and sharing a ‘kidnap kiss’ with Gong Hyo Jin. Dokko Jin (Cha Seung Won) protected Gu Ae Jung (Gong Hyo Jin) by bringing her over to his place. While Dokko Jin screamed, “Anyways I’m happy!” in his unique playful tone, Ae Jung wasn’t in the mood to be all that happy.

In order to brighten up the gloomy atmosphere, Dokko Jin suggested to Ae Jung that they do an interview where he told her about his surgery schedule and his chance of survival.

He also added, “I will answer the questions that Gu Ae Jung asks. I have simply one answer. I did it because I love so much. I love you.” Heavyhearted and grieved, Ae Jung replied “Please don’t make Dokko Jin a scoop. Don’t try to make me mentally prepare (for your death).”

Then, as she playfully asked, “Why did you kidnap me,” as if nothing had happened, Dokko Jin grabbed her, giving her a passionate kiss. However, their ‘kidnap kiss’ intensified their grief since there’s a possibility that this kiss might be their last one as Dokko Jin is on the verge of death.

Meanwhile, MBC’s “The Greatest Love” continued to lead the Wed-Thurs drama ratings chart with an impressive 17.9% on Wednesday—a slight increase of 0.1% from Wednesday—according to statistics by AGB Nielsen Media Research. Meanwhile, KBS’s “Romance Town” and SBS’s “City Hunter” which are aired during the same time slot received 10.1% and 13.8%, respectively.
