“Superstar K2” Winner Huh Gak’s Debut Album Due in September

Huh Gak, the winner of Mnet’s popular audition program “Superstar K2,” will release his debut album in September. On August 25^th, Huh Gak’s agency A Cube Entertainment told Star News, “Huh Gak will release his first mini album around September 13^th, shortly after Chusok. We’re done with choosing the title track and taking album photos, and just have to finish the mastering work.”

“In order to show a better image, Huh Gak followed a strict diet plan and dropped nearly 10 kg. As we worked on this album for a long time, most of the tracks will involve ballad tracks well-reflective of Huh Gak’s unique musical style,” it added.

Huh Gak reached instant stardom after winning Mnet’s audition program “Superstar K2” last November. The win landed him a contract with A Cube Entertainment (Cube Entertainment’s subsidiary) in March, in addition to the prize money worth $200,000 USD. He’s released drama OST tracks and digital singles so far, but this would be his first actual album release.
