Cha Tae Hyun Gives Second Opinion on Han Ye Seul Incident
Actor Cha Tae Hyun carefully gave his opinion on the recent Han Ye Seul incident.
Cha Tae Hyun attended the movie premiere for “Champ,” and had an interview with Cookie News on Aug. 26. Conversations went on about dramas and movies which led to the reporter asking about the Han Ye Seul incident. Cha Tae Hyun honestly laid out his point of view on the reality of drama world as an actor.
On Aug. 14, Han Ye Seul refused to film KBS drama “Spy Myung Wol” and flew out to Los Angeles on Aug. 15. However, on Aug. 17, she apologized and went on to resume shooting on Aug. 18.
Cha Tae Hyun said that he was surprised as an actor himself. He announced, “I’m sure she had her reasons but I don’t understand either the staff or the actress.”
Following his statement, he told his story about how hard it was to film the drama, “Came to Find a Flower,” and the production of dramas didn’t get any better from then.
He continued, “I was in many dramas before but among all of them, ‘Came to Find a Flower’ was the hardest. After we were done filming, I went to a motel to relax but even the time I spent going up the stairs felt like a waste of time for me so I would sleep in the car. The next morning, I would only use the motel room to wash up. It was so hard that as the drama went on, my face became slimmer.”
However, he explained that the reason why he wasn’t as stressed out as it would have been seen as was because of his role as the main character. He added, “It’s a requirement to be able to act well but also care for other aspects such as leading a good atmosphere at the site of production.”
Cha Tae Hyun picked out the method of lightening up the mood to talking. “During the production, people will have disputes and conflicts but if they don’t solve it at the spot and it piles up, later it’s going to be a huge explosion of emotions. Before the explosion happens, it’s important to talk things out even if it’s just a simple conversation to understand each other. With conversation, most people will be able to solve problems,” he explained. “Especially when filming with a new PD, talking is more important.” When he was filming the movie “Speedy Scandal,” he said after done shooting for the day, they went to a convenience store to have beer together for a talk.
Lastly, he claimed, “Drama producing system should definitely improve. It should reform as quickly as possible so people can have a good environment to create good productions.”
