Mnet's Official YouTube Channel Exceeds 100 Million Views

Cable music channel Mnet, has shown the power of K-Pop with its official YouTube channel (youtube.com / Mnet) exceeding 100 million views.

On September 2, Mnet revealed, “This is the highest record for a Korean broadcasting channel” and went on to explain, “It is also 4th overall in Korea after popular YouTube channels such as SM Entertainment, guitar prodigy Jung SungHa, and 2NE1“.

At the end of 2008, Wonder Girls held their comeback stage on the music show “M!Countdown!” performing, what later became one of their sensational hits, “Nobody.” This performance went on to hold 1st place in video views with a total of 52 million views. 

Mnet went on to say, “We believe that we were able to achieve these results due to the popular K-Pop contents that we provided for our international viewers”, also mentioning that, “In the future we will create a more exclusive program for our viewers, which they can view via YouTube, and also introduce and provide multi-lingual services”.
