SBS "Scent of a Woman" to Be Exported to 8 Countries
SBS’s weekend drama “Scent of a Woman” is to be exported to eight different countries around Asia.
On Sept. 5, SBS stated that “As drama ‘Scent of a Woman’ started to air, it gained huge popularity nationally and inquiries from international distributors began to flood in.” Currently at the peak of its popularity, the drama was successful in being able to export to 8 different countries – Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
“Scent of Woman” is about a thirty year old and unmarried woman named, Lee Yeon Jae (played by actress Kim Sun Ah), who’s life has taken a turn by being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Throughout the drama she is trying to complete a “bucket list” of things she wants to do before she dies, and during the process shares a heart wrenching love line with Kang Ji Wook (played by Lee Dong Wook).
Although those common drama themes about falling in love with a rich guy, illness and Cinderella story are present, “Scent of a Woman” offers a lot more with a solid story and strong characters that gave captured the attention and hearts of viewers nationwide.
