Korean Consumers’ Favorite Celebrity TV Model?

Korean consumers picked Lee Seung Ki as their favorite celebrity model on TV advertisements. According to a survey conducted by Korea Broadcast Advertising Corp. (KOBACO), Lee Seung Ki received 12.5% of the votes, followed by figure skater Kim Yuna, who won 7.2% of total responses. Lee Seung Ki’s Samsung Zipel refrigerator ad was also the top pick for “most memorable TV ad.” In fact, the results come as no surprise as Lee Seung Ki appeared in the most number of TV commercials in 2011.

Hyun Bin, who saw his popularity shoot up after his role in SBS drama “Secret Garden” and army enlistment, ranked #3 with 6.3% of the votes, and Kim Tae Hee came in at #4 with 6.1% of the responses. Won Bin, IU, SNSD, and Ko Hyun Jung followed on the list.

The KOBACO survey has taken place every year since 1999. It asks 6,000 people between the ages of 13 to 64 from across the country. Who is your favorite TV ad pesonality?
