Chinese Blog Calls Han Ye Seul North Korean

Actress Han Ye Seul was hailed in a Chinese blog as a “treasured beauty” but was erroneously identified as coming from North Korea. Local news agencies reported that a popular Chinese portal site, Feng Hwang featured on their main page on March 5, a blog entry titled “North Korea’s National Treasure Beauty,” showing a picture of the actress.

Han Ye Seul potrayed an elite North Korean spy, Han Myung Wol in her last drama, the 2011 KBS drama “Spy Myung Wol.”  The erroneous blog entry also used the actress’ picture in military uniform, which is a still shot from the drama.

In addition, the article also talked about Han Ye Seul, a “National Treasure Beauty,” as having participated in several international competitions, and having been a cheerleader in the military unit dance troupe.
