Cast of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” Breaks Down in Tears after Final Shoot

On March 15, MBC unveiled a video clip showing the cast and crew breaking down in tears following the final shoot of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun.” The thee minute clip shows Kim Soo Hyun, Jung Il Woo, Song Jae Rim, and Jung Eun Pyo hugging and crying as they’re hit with various emotions. 

A big round of applause erupted as director Kim Do Hoon presented the actors with a bouquet of flowers.  The cast and crew showed mixed emotions, happy to have completed the long journey, yet sad to part with the moon/sun family.

Netizens commented, “I’m so sad it’s over,” “Our king was a crybaby,” “Seeing them cry makes me cry,” “They’ve gotten so close over the past three months,” and more.

Meanwhile, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” ended its run with a personal high rating of 42.4% (AGB Nielsen).
