Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah Complete First Script Reading for "Arang and the Magistrate"

Actors Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah ramp up preparations for their new drama Arang and the Magistrate.” Local news agencies released photos of the two at the first script reading of their drama, joined by their director Kim Sang, co-star Yeon Woo Jin and others. The script reading session was held at the MBC center in Ilsan.

According to reports in local news agencies, prior to leading the cast into the script reading session, director Kim Sang spent an hour of planning to give context to the drama and provide background information. The director also earnestly explained details relating to “Arang and the Magistrate.”

“Arang and the Magistrate” is Lee Jun Ki’s first drama since his discharge from military service in February 2012. It is also Shin Min Ah’s first historical fusion drama, and her comeback to the small screen since “My Girlfriend Is Gumiho.” Yoo Seung Ho completes the cast.

“Arang and the Magistrate” is based on the Korean legend “Arang.” Arang, played by Shin Min Ah, is a ghost looking for justice and truth behind her death. She meets a magistrate Eun Oh (Lee Jun Ki), who can see ghosts.

The drama is set for a July premiere.
