DBSK Confesses to Past Fears of Making a Comeback As Two Person Group

“We feared whether people would still be awaiting us.”

The now two-person group DBSK expressed the fears they faced when they first took stage after going from five to two members.

DBSK’s Yunho and Changmin used the premiere for SM Entertainment’s documentary, “I AM,” as an opportunity to confess the anxiety and fear they faced when making their comeback as a duo.  DBSK became a two person group after Junsu, Yoochun, and Jaejoong left the group.

Yunho and Changmin made their first appearance as a two member group in August 2010 for the “SM Town Live 10 – World Tour” held at Seoul Olympic Stadium.

Yunho expressed that “with the performance ahead of us, we feared whether people would still be waiting for us,” and continued to say, “it didn’t feel like a comeback, but rather a glimpse of hope that we could still do it with just the two of us”.

He also revealed, “Teacher Lee Soo Man told us ‘the two of you can fully pull it off’ after watching our performance”.

After taking the stage for the first time as a duo, the pair released their first single, “Why,” in early 2011.  The single brought them brilliantly back into the musical limelight.  In October later that year, they performed at pop mecca, Madison Square Garden, for the “SM Town Live” concert.

“I AM” is a documentary movie following DBSK, Super Junior, f(x), SHINee, Kangta, BoA, and other artists in SM Entertainment from their debut to their 2011 New York performance.  The movie reveals the pains and emotions the artists lived through during their childhood and trainee days.   It is set to release on June 21.
