Huh Gak Returns to Super Star K4 as Judge

On August 23, Mnet announced that Huh Gak participated in regional preliminary round of “Super Star K4” in Incheon in July. Incheon is where Huh Gak is from and where he first auditioned to partake in “Super Star K” journey. This time, he returned to his hometown not as a contestant, but as a judge. Huh Gak is the first former audition program contestant to return to the same show that made him a star as a judge.

After winning “Super Star K2,” Huh Gak released several single albums including “Always,” “A Person I Used to Love,” and “Hello.” He swept all major online music charts with “Hello” and won the first place on KBS “Music Bank.” He also won rookie awards at 2011 Melon Music Awards and 2011 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Award). After successfully launching his singing career after “Super Star K,” Huh Gak has been participating in numerous TV drama original soundtracks.

After finishing judging Incheon’s regional preliminary round, Huh Gak told the producers at “Super Star K,” “Now that I’m here to judge, I don’t understand how I could sing in such a nervous, stressful situation. I tried my best to encourage every participant in pursuing his or her dreams and hopes as a judge.” The production crew of “Super Star K” commented, “Since Huh Gak was one of the contestants, he understood all participants better than anyone else. His comments were very touching and understanding. Judge Huh Gak was as good as singer Huh Gak. Viewers will be able to see Huh Gak appearing as a special guest judge on the upcoming episode of ‘Super Star K4.'”

The preliminary rounds of “Super Star K4” featuring Huh Gak as a judge will be airing on August 24 at 11pm KST on Mnet.
