[Exclusive Review] K-Pop Cover Dance Festival with Rainbow, A-JAX, Tiny-G and Jjun
What better way to see the talent of K-Pop fans all around the world than to hold a cover dance competition and invite the finalists to come to Korea? The 2012 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival, hosted by the Visit Korea Year Committee, took place last weekend on September 22 in Gyeongju. By this point, and after five months of hard work and deliberation, thousands of participants had been narrowed down to thirteen teams of finalists, hailing from places as far away as Russia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Brazil, Philippines, Australia, India, and Hungary! After a first selection on the official website of the event, the thirteen groups danced in front of an enthusiastic audience (which included Soompi!) and a jury (which included Rainbow and A-JAX) to compete for the grand prize. What was the grand prize, you ask? Well, just the opportunity to perform in front of thousands at the Hallyu Dream Festival and meet the artists performing at that concert (BEAST, INFINITE, 4minute, MBLAQ, SISTAR, Secret, KARA, T-ara, After School, B1A4, and more).
Performing artists included Rainbow, A-JAX, Tiny-G, and Jjun. Check out our exclusive photos below, as well as the winners’ videos!
