IU Has Not Been Attending Recent Music Award Shows

After not attending the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), IU was absent for the recent 2012 Melon Music Awards as well.

IU’s name has reached the Top 10 for the 2012 Melon Music Awards, but the singer was a no show. The Melon Music Awards team expected IU’s presence since they have ties with Loen Entertainment, but IU decided not to attend.

IU received a lot of love for “You And I” this year. However, it seems like her recent scandal with Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk has prevented her from making more public appearances. Besides hosting “Inkigayo” and other advertising appearances, IU is not really going out to the public.

Other artists who did not attend the 2012 Melon Music Awards were Big Bang and PSY, who are all overseas.
