Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2013 - June Week 2
Already happening a few times this year, our new No. 1 song this week wasn’t even in the top 10 last week.
Lee Hyori’s “Bad Girls” moves from No. 14 all the way up to the top, displacing 4minute’s “What’s Your Name?” which was No. 1 for the past three weeks.Despite the big jump to the top spot, it is not really a surprise as “Bad Girls” is No. 1 on Billboard Korea and SBS Inkigayo. It is also ranked among the top five songs in nearly all our sources.
“Bad Girls” is the title track of Lee Hyori’s fifth album “Monochrome.”Earlier she released a self composed preview single “Miss Korea” and reached No. 3 on our chart just two weeks ago.“Bad Girls” is an exciting dance number with powerful choreography.
Besides “Bad Girls,” there is only one other new song in the top 10. Moving up 17 spots to No. 10 is the first top 10 hit “Number 1” from the mixed folk rock duo Two Months. The duo is made up of Do Dae Yoon and Kim Ye Lim, who were originally contestants on Super Star K3. “Number 1” is an indie folk style acoustic love song written to celebrate Two Month’s second anniversary since their debut. Kim Ye Lim is scheduled to release her solo album later this month.
