Dong Bang Shin Ki Sells Over 110,00 Copies of Japanese Single in Two Days
Dong Bang Shin Ki, otherwise known as Tohoshinki in Japan, continues to prove their Hallyu power by selling over 110,00o copies of their Japanese single, “Ocean,” in a mere two days.
“Ocean” is the group’s 37th single album and was released on June 12. According to Japan’s Oricon chart, Dong Bang Shin Ki sold 88,428 in the first day and then sold an additional 28,354 copies the next day, totalling 116,782 in two days.
Additionally, the summer single “Ocean” was chosen to be the theme song for four different popular variety shows in Japan, including “Pon!”

Dong Bang Shin Ki will have their first stage for “Ocean” on NHK’s “Music Japan” June 13. The group will also be starting their Japanese five-dome tour “Tohoshinki Live Tour 2013” August 17 at Yokohama’s Nissan Stadium. Dong Bang Shin Ki are the fist Korean artists to go on such a tour in Japan, setting a record.
