Sechskies' Kang Sung Hoon's Prison Sentence Reduced to Probation

The first generation idol Sechskies‘ Kang Sung Hoon has been sentenced to two years probation after appeals to have his original prison sentence changed. 

He was sentenced to two and a half years of imprisonment for fraud this past February. Kang Sung Hoon was charged with fraud for borrowing about 900 million won (about 852,000 USD) from three people between 2009 to 2011 and failing to pay them back. 

At the hearing held on September 5, the judges stated, “Kang Sung Hoon has settled with the victims and it was his first crime. He is also reflecting on his wrongdoing. We decided to give him one more chance.” The judges lowered the original sentence to one year and six months, and then granted him two years probation.
