Making the Cut: The Week's Best-Dressed in K-Pop Land (Sept. 1 - Sept. 7)

Check out this week’s best-dressed list!  

This week it was all about the skirt with a little flare.  Button-downs and flared skirts to be exact.  The formula of button-downs, flared skirts, and high heels seemed to stay the same with only the color of the skirt varying.  However, some stars strayed into seriously edgy territory with leather lace-up shorts and killer heels.

On September 8, Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung made an appearance at the “2013 Double M Muse Fan-Sign” event held at the Lotte Department Store, Nowon branch, in Seoul.  Sooyoung looked refreshingly stylish in a crisp white button-down blouse and a maroon skirt with a subtle flare.

On September 6, actress Nam Sang Mi made an appearance at the “Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Collection” launch event held at the Godiva flagship store in Sinsa-dong, Seoul.  Nam Sang Mi looked chic in a simple paisley print button-down with high-waisted shorts.  The actress kept the look modern by accessorizing with a forest green fedora and high heels. 

On September 6, Brown Eyed Girls member and solo artist Gain made an appearance at the “Face Slip Secret” locker event at the Espoir, Gangnam store, in Seoul.  Gain knows how to add serious edge to what could be a very simple outfit.  Gain wore studded leather shorts with side laces with suede platform heels that lengthened her legs.

On September 5, Sistar member Dasom made an appearance at the “Kiehl’s 10th Anniversary Charity Party” at the Kiehl’s Boutique in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.  Dasom appeared in a demure lady-like look with a white button-down shirt and a printed fit and flare skirt.  However, Dasom punched up her look by adding bright orange heels and a yellow handbag.

On September 5, actress Sung Yuri made an appearance at the BRUNO ATELIER Gangnam store opening event in Seoul.  Sung Yuri looked sweet and fresh with a floral and polka dot printed dress.  The actress saved the look from being overly saccharine with a tousled high bun and black mesh detail.

On September 4, actress Kang Hye Jung made an appearance at the VIP showing of movie “The Face Reader” (“Gwansang”) at the CGV Theatre in Yongsan, Seoul.  Kang Hye Jung goes the quirky indie darling route with her floor-length black pinafore look.

On September 4, Girls’ Generation members Taeyeon and Seohyun made an appearance at the “Superbad 2” yellow carpet event at the CGV Theatre in Yeouido, Seoul.

On September 3, solo artist Son Dambi made an appearance at the VIP showing of movie “My Sun Hee” at the CGV Theatre in Wangshimli, Seoul.  Son Dambi showed off her lean figure and toned legs in black shorts and ankle-length boots.

On September 3, Girls’ Generation member Sunny made an appearance at the “H&M 2013 Fall Collection Free Shopping Party” at the H&M Garosugil store in Seoul.  Sunny goes for the vamp look in leather studded shorts and sheer form-fitting top.   (Have you voted on who wore it better?  Gain or Sunny? )

On September 3, Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon made an appearance at the  “H&M 2013 Fall Collection Free Shopping Party” at the H&M Garosugil store in Seoul.  Hyoyeon wore a sheer form-fitting top and black lace skirt.  (Did the same stylist dress Sunny and Hyoyeon?) 

On September 3, actress and S.E.S member Eugene made an appearance at the “Jill Stuart 13AW Presentation” event held at LG Fashion RAUM in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.  Eugene wore a floral print button-down and black flared skirt.  Eugene’s look is simple, but the peep-toed shoes help to give it a more casual feel.
