Actor Hyun Bin Receives President’s Award
Actor Hyun Bin received an award for “Savings Day.”
On October 29, the Korean government held the “50th Savings Day” event at the Sejong Hall in the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. Overall, 99 individuals were recipients of various awards given by the President, the Prime Minister, and the Chair of the Monetary Committee.
Over the last 17 years, Hyun Bin saved 35 billion won (approximately $3.3 million), and he received recognition as the recipient of the President’s award. In addition, it has been revealed he has been continuously doing volunteer work as well as donating money to various charities.
Actress Han Hye Jin also received the President’s award. Other familiar names on the recipients list were entertainer Kim Hye Young, and singers Lee Juk, Lee Moon Se, KARA’s Goo Hara, and BIGBANG’s T.O.P.
