2NE1 Sweeps Music Charts with “Missing You”

On November 21 at Midnight KST, 2NE1 released their new track “Missing You,” and it has been topping music charts since its release.

As of 8 AM KST, “Missing You” held the number one position on various online music charts including, Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Olleh, Cyworld, Daum, Naver, Genie, and Monkey3.

“Missing You” is the third single the group has released this year after “Falling In Love” and “Do You Love Me?” The song suits well with the winter season as it features the beautiful harmony of the members.

The music video, which was released along with the track, is also gaining much attention. Members of 2NE1 display a subtle and calm mood that is almost dream-like. It begins with the four members standing in the midst of the falling snow expressing the emotion of sadness and longing caused by heartbreak.

The music video especially caused a stir even before its release when YG Entertainment announced CL would be showing nudity in the video. She showed a new side of herself different from her usual confident and charismatic image. In the video, CL sits in a steaming tub exposing her tattooed back. She also sits curled up with her black hair down her back.

Meanwhile, 2NE1 will officially begin its activities for “Missing You” at the “2013 MAMA” on November 22. The group also announced their world tour which will commence in March 2014 thus far confirmed to make stops in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan.
