Crayon Pop's New Concept Raises Question of Plagiarism Once Again, Valid or Not?

Previously, quirky girl group Crayon Pop received criticism by netizens for supposedly copying the outfits and concepts of Japanese girl group Momoiro Clover Z.

Crayon Pop’s agency, Chrome Entertainment, responded to those criticisms by citing DJ DOC as Crayon Pop’s role models and also stating that Crayon Pop’s outfits are commonly seen throughout the music industry.

Once again, Crayon Pop has come under fire for copying Momoiro Clover Z through a comparison of Crayon Pop’s upcoming single Christmas concept and Momoiro Clover Z’s image from last year. An image, under the title “Crayon Pop Plagiarizes(?) concept again,”  has been circulating online that puts Crayon’s Pop new image teasers for “KKurimas” and Momoiro Clover Z member Momoka Ariyasu‘s image for the group’s concert pamphlet last year. Both Momoka Ariyasu and the members of Crayon Pop are wearing Christmas tree outfits, and in context of previous plagiarism accusations, the similarities can raise questions again. However, Christmas tree outfits are pretty common world-wide, making such accusations seem a little too rushed. What do you think, readers?
