TVXQ Announces New Tour, Becomes First Foreign Artist to Hold a Concert at Tokyo Dome for Three Consecutive Years

Leading Hallyu male group TVXQ is breaking records by becoming the first non-Japanese artist to hold a solo concert at Tokyo Dome for three years straight.

The group held a fan meet event at Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on November 23. The members announced, “Starting from April next year, we will go on a nation-wide tour in Japan. On May 20, 21, and 23 we have decided to hold concerts at Tokyo Dome. Overall, we will be holding 26 concerts in 11 cities across the country.” Right after sharing the delightful news of their achievement, fans joined the celebration by cheering loud for their favorite idols. 

This news spread quickly after the announcement, appearing on Japan’s leading news sites such as Oricon, Sankei Newspaper, and Nikkan Sports. Along with the tour details, they highlighted the achievement that TVXQ has recorded by becoming the first foreign artist to hold solo concerts at the legendary Tokyo Dome, fitting up to 55,000 people, for three consecutive years.

The group attracted 36,000 fans to their fan meet held on November 23 and performed their Christmas song titled “Very Merry Xmas” off their new single, which will be released on November 27.
