More Details on Han Ye Seul and Teddy’s Relationship in Woman Sense Magazine

The December 2013 issue of women’s magazine Woman Sense revealed further details behind actress Han Ye Seul and YG Entertainment hip hop producer Teddy Park’s relationship. The article contains information from multiple unnamed sources close to the couple. The reporter stated that the magazine spent two months covering the story in order to verify the couple’s relationship, which was ascertained through various channels.

The two met through a mutual acquaintance at the beginning of this year, and became a couple after May. Han Ye Seul and Teddy share something in common; both grew up in the US (California). A source close to the couple stated, “Teddy and Han Ye Seul are serious about one another. Both are working in different fields, and naturally that led to curiosity about each other’s work. Furthermore, they share similar feelings having lived overseas for a long time.”

Han Ye Seul has been on hiatus from entertainment activities for a while, but Teddy’s been actively producing for 2NE1 and G-Dragon, so their dates are usually early in the morning to fit Teddy’s schedule. Another close source explained, “Teddy usually starts working late at night. He works on songs almost every day as he produces most of YG artist’s songs. He goes on dates with Han Ye Seul after he finishes work early in the morning.”

Their relationship is an open secret within YG; she has been introduced to CEO Yang Hyun Suk and G-Dragon and they’ve shared a few drinks together as well with other YG members. According to the reporter’s sources on Han Ye Seul’s side, Han Ye Seul has also met Teddy’s parents and younger sister and they are formally dating.

In the last week of October, a close friend of Teddy held a wedding ceremony. Teddy was supposed to attend the private wedding reception  accompanied by Han Ye Seul. However, due to last-minute promotions in Singapore, he was unable to attend the wedding and his mother and younger sister went in his stead. The couple also went on a short holiday together after the Chuseok holidays in September.

What do they like about one another? In Han Ye Seul’s case, word is that she’s fallen for Teddy’s charm. A close source stated, “Teddy looks rough on the outside, but he’s actually a sensitive guy. He also likes work more than play. He looks like he would play a lot because he does hip hop music, but he’s a workaholic who only knows his work. I think she fell for that side of him.”

Teddy, on the other hand, seems to have fallen for Han Ye Seul’s straightforward personality. According to an entertainment insider, Han Ye Seul looks like a shrewd person but on getting to know her, she is easygoing and cares deeply for others. Her understanding and consideration for Teddy’s irregular work-life pattern swayed his heart.

Another representative hinted, “Han Ye Seul is an actress but she has a lot of interest in music. It’s difficult dating a songwriter because of their strange hours. However, Han Ye Seul understands Teddy’s lifestyle.”

Teddy debuted under hip hop group 1TYM, but retirement was a turning point in his music career. He is now YG Entertainment’s top producer and has worked with everyone in YG from Se7en, BIGBANG, 2NE1 to solo albums for G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P and CL.

He’s not called YG’s “Midas touch” for nothing, and his hit compositions include BIGBANG’s “Blue,” “Love Dust,” G-Dragon’s “Black,” “Crooked,” Taeyang’s “Look Only At Me,” “Wedding Dress,” T.O.P’s “Turn It Up,” 2NE1’s “Fire,” “I Don’t Care” and “Go Away.” His copyright revenue from last year exceeds 950 million KRW (~900,000 USD), an amount that puts him in third place in Korea.

Teddy also opened his own “A Twosome Place” café in the Hongdae district in February, and it’s since become a popular spot for females in their 10s-30s, as it also hosts special events such as K-pop exhibitions.

Han Ye Seul appeared in the 2011 movie “My Penny Pinching Romance” alongside Song Joong Ki and it has been two years since her last project. She is now considering her next movie project, and it looks like she’ll be back early in 2014. The actress is carefully looking over scripts for films and dramas and preparing for her comeback next year.
