"Running Man" Lee Kwang Soo Shocks Everyone and Proves He Is a Genius

The most recent episode of SBS’ “Running Man” shocked the guests, members, and viewers with Lee Kwang Soo’s wit and ability during the final mission.

Our last warning if you do not want to be spoiled regarding the recent running man episode, because the ending was a sure surprise.

On the December 1 episode of “Running Man,” the show’s giraffe, Lee Kwang Soo, shocked everyone with his ability to solve the final answer. During the final mission, as members struggled to answer the question correctly, the actor showed his brilliance despite his clumsy character.

As Kim Jong Kook, SISTAR’s Bora, Yoo Jae Suk, and actress Han Hye Jin arrived first at the final mission location, all four  people failed to submit the correct digits for the final answer. Throughout the race, all members and guests had been given the hints ‘14357,’ ‘Plus 11,’ ‘HaHa’s store,’ Train station,’ and ‘Ilsan R storage.’ Having arrived earlier, Kim Jong Kook, Bora, Yoo Jae Suk, and Han Hye Jin had been stumped with entering the correct digits that would allow them to be the victors of the race. Yet, as partners Lee Kwang Soo and Lee Seung Gi arrived at the final mission location, the pair exhibited a confidence unfound in the other members.

With a look of awe, partner Lee Seung Gi commented, “Kwang Leader solved the answer. There is only one answer.” In response, Lee Kwang Soo replied, “I will show you my talent as a leader,” and typed in the 14358. The five digit sequence was simply an addition of one to the number 14357 that had been initially given as a hint.  With the entering of the five digits, Lee Kwang Soo excitingly expressed, “Seung Gi, can I really become the leader?” However, the actor did not need to worry as the final door had opened, identifying Lee Kwang Soo and Lee Seung Gi as the final winners of the race.

In response to the curiosity of how the show’s giraffe solved the final answer, Lee Seung Gi stated, “Our leader Kwang read the first letters of the hint cards and saw that it read ‘Plus one.’ It brought me shivers,” and showed how the first letter of each hint phrase had formed a sentence that indicated how to solve the final answer. Although the show’s clumsy member shined his brilliance at the last moment, the other “Running Man” members couldn’t help but poke fun at the actor. Yoo Jae Suk jokingly added, “Is today Kwang Soo’s last day?” and continued to sing the song, “A Long Time Friend Whom I’ve Grown Fond Of,” jokingly alluding to a farewell.

Despite the jokes and Lee Kwang Soo’s typical response of shock and an unfair expression, the actor’s ability to solve the tricky question has lead people to view the clumsy actor in a new light.

Who said giraffes aren’t smart? Lee Kwang Soo just proved that you can never underestimate someone’s brilliance.
