What Are Your Favorite Idols Doing for Christmas?
Christmas is here, but what are your favorite artists up to?
Some artists will be giving up their Christmases to practice for the upcoming year-end Gayo Daejuns and concerts. Yet, there are also those who will be spending Christmas with their families and friends.
SM Entertainment’s artists are especially busy at year-end. SM began its SMTown Week Concert series on December 21. SHINee and Girls’ Generation have taken their turn, while EXO and f(x) are scheduled to perform on December 24-25 at Ilsan’s Kintex. Fans will have the chance to spend an unforgettable Christmas with their favorite idols.
The concert series will run until December 29, with TVXQ and Super Junior following after their fellow artists. So it looks like these two groups will be spending their Christmases practicing. They will be working especially hard to show a varied program as a group, as well as with solo stages.
While SHINee have concluded their SMTown Week performances, this doesn’t mean they’ll be slowing down. SHINee will be heading to Tokyo as part of their Japan Arena Tour, “SHINee World 2013 – Boys Meet U,” where they will meet Japanese fans on December 24 and 25.
CNBlue are also performing at their Japan Arena Tour “One More Time” concert in Fukuoka on December 26. They’ll be spending their Christmas holidays in Japan with their fans there.
Girls’ Generation has also finished their SMTown Week performances and they’ll be busy preparing for their upcoming Gayo Daejun performances. They were last active promoting as a group at the beginning of this year, and they are putting in extra effort since they have been away from the stage for a while.
BIGBANG spent their year busy with solo activities and they will also be spending this Christmas productively. G-Dragon and Taeyang will be performing at the year-end Gayo Daejuns, and they’re sure to want to make their stages one of a kind.
4Minute are also spending this Christmas preparing for the Gayo Daejuns, along with fellow label mates BEAST. Sistar are apparently putting their best foot forward, preparing to put on an upgraded performance after a stellar year in music sales.
ZE:A will be coming together as a group for the Gayo Daejuns after spending some time on individual activities. Along with their label mates Nine Muses, they’ll be spending the holidays working on their Gayo Daejun performances.
Busy with Other Activities:
Rain is scheduled for a major comeback at the beginning of 2014, and he will be spending Christmas working on the new album. Maybe we’ll get to see how he spent his Christmas on his new Mnet reality program, “Rain Effect.”
“The Commitment” hit screens earlier in November, but BIGBANG’s T.O.P already has his next movie lined up. He will spend his holidays at a script reading session for upcoming movie “Tazza 2,” to be released next year. Fellow YG artists 2NE1 are also scheduled be performing at a Christmas party on December 24, alongside hip hop artists Beenzino and Dok2.
DSP Media’s Rainbow and A-JAX will be holding a showcase in Shanghai. FNC Entertainment’s Juniel will continue her regular radio show, while girl group AOA has a recording activity scheduled.
Christmas with the Folks:
Artists who will be spending a cozy Christmas with their families include BIGBANG’s Seungri and Daesung, and other YG artists including Epik High, WINNER, Lee Hi and Akdong Musician. Tablo is currently appearing on KBS 2TV variety program “Superman Returns” along with his daughter, Haru, and fans are curious as how Tablo, his wife, actress Kang Hye Jung, and Haru, will be spending their Christmas.
Kara will be performing at the year-end Gayo Daejuns but they’ll be spending a warm Christmas with their families, while Crayon Pop, the idol group with 2013 viral hit “Bar Bar Bar” have cleared their schedules to spend Christmas at home.
T-ara will be holding a special charity bazaar on Christmas Eve, but have their evening off to spend with their families.
How will you be spending your Christmas?
