DJ DOC’s Lee Ha Neul Reveals Why He Wants YG Artists to Work Hard
It seems that hip hop veterans DJ DOC have a reason to encourage YG artists to thrive for the best: Lee Ha Neul revealed that he owns part of YG Entertainment’s stocks!
On December 24 episode of Mnet’s “Beatles Code 3D,” guests DJ DOC and 2NE1 shared inside stories, kicking off the first episode of the revamped show. Although the two groups would seem to have nothing in common, DJ DOC’s Lee Ha Neul revealed how he was financially related to YG Entertainment.
When MC Shin Dong Yup asked 2NE1 if they had any friends in DJ DOC, the girls answered, “Not us, but Yang Hyun Suk (YG’s CEO) is friends with the group.” Previously, Lee Ha Neul had even featured in YG Family’s album, “War and Peace,” showing a close relationship with the agency.
However, Lee Ha Neul also revealed about how he owned a part of YG Entertainment’s stock. The rapper said to 2NE1, “Work hard,” causing many to laugh, and also added, “I own a part of YG Entertainment’ stocks. I’m not a major stock holder, I’m more like an ant. If it turns out okay the profits outcome to an expense for a foreign vacation. Do well in front of your stock holder.” The joking comments of Lee Ha Neul continued a light hearted atmosphere throughout the show.
Mnet’s “Beatles Code 3D” broadcasts every Tuesdays at 10PM (KST); it seems that although DJ DOC and 2NE1 may seem unrelated, finances sometimes help bring K-Pop together.
