Hyun Bin Holds First Japan Fan Meeting Since Military Discharge
On February 15, actor Hyun Bin held his Japan fan meeting, “Hyun Bin Japan Premium Event 2014 Reunion” at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall. Around 5,000 fans attended the event.
This fan meeting is the first since Hyun Bin’s enlistment to the army in April 2010. Many fans showed interested since it was his first official fan meeting since over three years ago. All 5,000 tickets were sold out as soon as they went on sale confirming the actor’s popularity in Japan.
Prior to the event, on February 14, Haneda Airport was filled with fans as Hyun Bin arrived in Japan.
On the day of the event, there was heavy snow. The weather was so severe that parts of the freeway were blocked and transportation was stopped. Despite the bad weather, the cheering of 5,000 fans filled the convention hall. Hyun Bin answered to the fans’ questions and shared what he has been doing. He took photos and gave hugs to fans that came up on stage and impressed his fans with his gentle and polite charm.
Hyun Bin prepared chocolate, which he made, as a Valentine’s Day celebration. He gave the chocolates he made to fans and received an enthusiastic response.
Hyun Bin thanked fans saying, “It’s been four years, but thank you for welcoming me and support me. I am deeply touched. I’m left with a little bit of disappointment every time I have a fan meeting, but I want to become an actor who grows closer to his fans.”
Meanwhile, Hyun Bin has been touring around Asia since March making stops in Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Japan. He successfully finished filming his new film, “The King’s Wrath.”
