"Man From the Stars" Actually Smashed a $75,000 Car for Cliff Scene

The back story on sponsorships for the SBS drama “Man From the Stars” has been revealed.

On the February 19 episode of E’s “Brave Reporters,” they talked about the car that was used for Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun’s cliff scene where Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) saves Chun Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun), unconscious, from rolling off the edge of the cliff. The car that Jun Ji Hyun was riding at the time was revealed to be worth a not-so-small amount of about 80,000,000 won ($75,000). One reporter said, “The damaged car scene wasn’t CG; they actually smashed the car. The producers took on the repair costs.”

This 47th episode of “Brave Reporters,” covering ‘weird people’ and extraordinary cases, aired on February 19 at 11PM (KST).
