Kim Woo Bin Cries, Flies, and Falls Like a Heodang on “Running Man”
Actor Kim Woo Bin has been on the SBS Sunday variety show “Running Man” couple of times before, and each time, he has surprised viewers with his unexpected soft and clumsy side. The charismatic actor doesn’t look charismatic when he is on “Running Man,” and even admitted it on this week’s show when Yoo Jae Suk called him a “heodang,” a Korean term for someone who is unexpectedly clumsy and sometimes slow. Actor and singer Lee Seung Gi has also been called a “heodang” on the KBS variety show “1 Night, 2 Days.”
On this week’s “Running Man,” Kim Woo Bin flew over with singer and actor Rain and with the rest of the “Running Man” members to Australia to complete the mission of finding the treasure. He and Rain were given a stylish and handsome entrance on the show, riding into the dock on a yacht. While Rain maintained his “cool” image, Kim Woo Bin was unable to when tears started to fall down his cheek. No, nothing sad or bad happened- the wind was just too cold for the actor.
The “Running Man” guests and members were then transported to another location through a helicopter ride, and Kim Woo Bin once again brought laughter to viewers with his fear of heights. While his partner, Yoo Jae Suk, is no heart of steel himself, Kim Woo Bin surprised him with his fear as the actor held on very tightly to his hand all throughout the helicopter ride. Embarrassed and aware he looked liked a big scaredy-cat, Kim Woo Bin tried to hide his face.
On another mission to imitate kangaroos, the cast and guests of “Running Man” were asked to dress in kangaroo costumes and jump over a high bar. Everyone expected the tall members – Rain, Kim Woo Bin, and Lee Kwang Soo– to easily complete the mission, but Kim Woo Bin had viewers rolling on the floor laughing when he fell flat on his stomach after failing to clear the bar with his bulky costume on. The other members didn’t call it a jump but diving into the ground.
There you have it, Kim Woo Bin cried, flied, and fell like a heodang all throughout this week’s “Running Man.” I think I can speak for many fans of the actor when I say, “We love you more because of this.”
Actress Song Ji Hyo was not present in this week’s “Running Man” due to her filming schedule for her currently airing drama, “Emergency Couple.” She will be on the show next week!
