Baek Jin Hee Leaving "Empress Ki," Starting New Pilot Variety "Rules of the City"

The words of actress Baek Jin Hee, leaving MBC’s “Empress Ki” with her last episode on March 17, after the poison execution of her character, Empress Tanashiri. But do not despair! Baek Jin Hee will be back in a new SBS pilot variety program called “Rules of the City” starting on April 1, and will soon be flying out to New York to start filming the show.
On doing her first variety program, she said, “I had so much fun with my first villain role, but to be honest, playing the endlessly evil Tanashiri’s character was a bit of a handful. I’m happy to be returning my original, lively self.”
Also appearing in “Rules of the City” with Baek Jin Hee are Jung Kyung Ho, Lee Chun Hee, Kim Sung Soo, and others. The show is a city survival reality program, and is a spinoff by PD Lee Ji Won, who also directs “Rules of the Jungle.”
In “Empress Ki,” with the deaths of Yun Chul(Jun Gook Hwan) and Empress Tanashiri, we will see the entrance of a new empress, Bayan Khutugh, played by Im Joo Eun, who will present new challenges to Ki Seung Nyang (Ha Ji Won).
