Noona Approved: Military Service Will Take These Gorgeous Actors Away From Us

Every year a hot rising actor will shave his hair, don on the camouflage uniform, and bid his fans adieu to live a reverse life surrounded not by screaming women, but by grunting men who are also doing their service to the nation. We recently got Lee Jun Ki and Hyun Bin back, and Super Junior members seem to be taking each other’s places as they take their turn serving the country. We also had to deal with Shinhwa not quite being whole for a few years, and now they’re back and more bromantic than ever. In May, we will soon be having Song Joong Ki back, which will be a cause for celebration.

The Korean military always takes our sweetest boys away from us. If they didn’t return them in two years as bustling manly men, this would be a “Noona DISapproved” post.

But now for 2014, it might be too much to bear because they will be taking some of Korea’s hottest and brightest actors. Sure, their break from the spotlight means that the next generation of hotties will have a chance to shine, but that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t hurt.

Take a look through the gallery to see which popular actor is being considered for the military service this year and try to hold back your tears with me.

jang geun suk

Jang Geun Suk is known for his eyeliner and his always transforming hair. He is one of the iconic pretty boys of the Korean entertainment world and I don’t know if my heart could take it if he went to the army any time soon because they have to keep the buzz cut and there are no eyeliners in the army.

Born: September 26, 1987

kim hyun joong

Kim Hyun Joong has been steadily changing his flower boy image to a hotter (and in my opinion, better) manlier one. He is currently kicking butt and getting all busted up (while still looking smoking hot) in the epic drama “Age of Feeling.” He doesn’t need the army to turn him into a man, he did it all himself.

So, maybe, the Korean government could sort of, skip this one?

kim soo hyun

NOPE.

I WON’T LET YOU.

kimsoohyun

Do I have to? We just finished the drama that took over Asia,”Man From the Stars.” Sure, right now he’s dividing his time between modeling for CFs and rolling in money, but we still need him to brighten up our lives with that ridiculously small face of his.

The only plus is that Kim Soo Hyun has proven he looks hot with a super short cut so maybe it won’t be so bad as long as we get a photo once in awhile?

Born: February 16, 1988 (While he is a little younger, he had his medical check up in 2012, hinting that he was considering his military service)

lee min ho

Lee Min Ho has perfect body proportions and an awesome face. I don’t want to image a world where we don’t get to see him act as an angsty handsome action/rich man in a drama. The movie “Gangnam Blues” will not be enough to satisfy us.

Born: June 22, 1987

lee seung gi

I think we should take into consideration Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA‘s feelings. She is going to be so sad when her boyfriend has to go to the army for two years.

Born: January 13, 1987

yoo ah in

Yoo Ah In recently said that his previous roles were not that satisfactory so we should give him a few more chances before you take that baby-face away from us.

Born: October 6, 1986

yoon shi yoon

Yoon Shi Yoon doesn’t even know how to properly brush his teeth yet! How can we send him to the army? Something is wrong here.

He’s also known to be this huge bookworm and lovable nerd. We need more of his types. What if he loses that baby seal softness? No.
