Happy birthday to “the nation’s fairy” IU!

Today, May 16, she turns 21. (she has been 22 in Korean age since the start of the year.) Even though she is an adult, fans are still crazy about her cute image.

In addition to celebrating her birthday, IU’s special cover album “Flower Bookmark” was also released today.

Let’s see what she has been up to since last year.

She recently revealed that she confessed her feelings for someone last year.

IU stopped being an MC for Inkigayo on July to focus on her album and other projects. She made her comeback in October with “The Red Shoes.”

After being in the drama “You’re the Best, Lee Soon-shin” in early 2013, she ended the year with “Pretty Man,” starring alongside Jang Geun Suk. She played the role of an “average” girl” and had her hair in a short bob cut.

She still looks good in a hamburger outfit!

IU released her repackaged album  “Modern Times: Epilogue” in December and was able to achieve a perfect all-kill without having live promotions.

She recently announced that she would be holding a charity concert for victims of the Sewol tragedy. Titled  “Just one step…Just As Much As That,” IU will have eight shows between May 22 through May 25 and from May 29 to June 1 at  Sogang University’s Mary Hall.

IU was featured in HIGH4’s debut track “Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms.” Even without live promotions, the song did extremely well on charts.
