Chu Sarang Transforms into a Cute "Chu Jang Geum"

Chu Sarang of the variety show “Superman Returns” has transformed into a cute “Chu Jang Geum” for Korea’s Del Monte.

On June 9, in the Del Monte commercial that was revealed by Korea Del Monte Fresh Produce, Chu Sarang transformed into Chu Jang Geum where she introduced the Del Monte Banana and Gold Pine’s effects, “Dae Jang Geum” style. Chu Jang Geum is a parody of Dae Jang Geum from the famous 2003 drama of the same name starring Lee Young Ae as the titular character.

For this commercial, Chu Sarang’s slogan was “Chu Jang Geum’s Del Monte Guidebook” and “Del Monte’s Is a Good Medicine That’s Sweet and Good for the Body.” In the commercial, they introduced the Del Monte Gold Pine, which is “over-flowing with Vitamin C and good for rejuvenation.” They also introduced the Del Monte Banana, which “contains an abundant amount of nutrients.”

Posters of Chu Jang Geum can be seen on the screen doors of major subway stations as well as on the outside of buses. Places such as Seoul, Samsung Station, Jamsil Station, and Seoul Station will have these posters.
