VIXX, Gong Hyo Jin, United Cube, and "Infinity Challenge" Send Support Messages to the Korean National Soccer Team!
From comedians to singers, Korean celebrities are one with the rest of their country is wishing the best for its national soccer team in its first match of the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
The Korean national soccer team, which is in group H, is first up against Russia, playing tomorrow, June 18, at 7 AM local time. With the first match in less than 24 hours, everyone in Korea is eager to send their best wishes and vibes to the players. Here is only a small selection of the outpouring of group and individual messages from Korean celebrities to their national soccer team.
Boy group VIXX wrote on its Twitter, “Let’s support as one on June 18 for South Korea’s Taeguk Warriors’s advancement into the round of 16! Korea fighting!”
Actress Gong Hyo Jin relayed through her agency’s official Facebook account, “To Korea’s Taeguk Warriors! Please don’t get hurt! I will always be cheering you on! I pray for your advancement into the round of 16!”
The artists of Cube Entertainment (collectively called United Cube)- BEAST, 4Minute, BTOB, and G.NA– sent their energetic and excited messages to the Korean team, wishing them a safe and awesome game. They all shout “Good Luck,” wishing the team the best as well as an allusion to BEAST’s new song, “Good Luck.”
The cheer-leading team from the MBC variety show “Infinity Challenge,” consisting of the regular cast members and guests Son Ye Jin, Jung Il Woo, B1A4‘s Baro, After School‘s Lizzy, and Ji Sang Ryul, printed a support ad in a Brazilian daily newspaper. It reads “Enjoy it, Reds! South Korea, which is the only Asian country to play in the World Cup eight times in a row! We are prepared to shock the whole world at this Brazil World Cup. Go go! South Korea!”
