f(x) Modifies "Red Light" Lyrics, KBS Gives Them the Green Light
It’s a go for f(x) as TV network KBS gives them the green light for the broadcast of the group’s latest release, “Red Light.”
KBS previously announced that “Red Light” was unfit for broadcast because the word “caterpillar” was in the lyrics. It explained that “caterpillar” could be read as the brand name of the famous heavy equipment manufacturing company known as Caterpillar.
In response, SM Entertainment replaced “caterpillar” with the Korean world for a caterpillar tractor, “mu-han-gwe-do,” (it can also mean “unlimited orbit”) and resubmitted it to KBS. With the modification, “Red Light” passed KBS’ censorship, and is now fit for broadcast.
Meanwhile, f(x) released their highly anticipated music video for “Red Light” today, which you can view here. f(x) holds their first comeback stage today on “M!Countdown,” and the full album drops “July 7.
