Jung Il Woo Transforms Into Joseon’s Handsome Prince in Upcoming Drama “The Night Watchman”
In MBC’s upcoming historical drama, “The Night Watchman,” Jung Il Woo transforms into Joseon’s elegant prince.
On July 23, stills were released showing Lee Rin (Jung Il Woo) and Soo Ryun (Seo Ye Ji) together while Moo Suk (TVXQ’s Jung Yunho) watches them worriedly.
Lee Rin (Jung Il Woo), as shown in the stills, is a carefree prince who, although in line for the throne as the next king, left the royal palace and grew up enjoying entertainment. After arriving at the tavern, he ends up capturing someone’s coat string and performs a ceremony of victory. He also has the ability to see ghosts.
In a different still, Soo Ryun, the daughter of a noble who has a crush on Lee Rin, goes to the tavern with her cousin, Moo Suk. She is then seen making close eye contact with Lee Rin and many are curious as to what kind of relationship they will have.
Since this is the first filming between the three actors, they tried hard to build chemistry with each other. Jung Il Woo wouldn’t let the script go while Jung Yunho and Seo Ye Ji showed their passionate acting skills.
“The Night Watchman” is a fantasy romance drama that takes place during the Joseon dynasty. It tells the story of those who deny ghosts, those who try to use ghosts, and those who try to ward them off.
The first episode of “The Night Watchman” will be aired on August 4 after “Triangle.”
