So Ji Sub Successfully Wraps Up Fan Meeting In Japan
Actor and rapper So Ji Sub held a fan meeting in Kobe and Yokohama, receiving a hot response from the fans.
The fan meetings were held on July 18 and July 21 at the Kobe International House International Hall and at the Pacific Yokohama National Convention Hall. The name of the fan meeting was, “So Ji Sub Asia Tour – SOJISUB 1st ASIA TOUR – Let’s Have Fun in JAPAN (KOBE/YOKOHAMA) [sic].”
In Kobe, 2,000 seats were filled while Yokohama had 4,000 seats filled. Fans who weren’t able to purchase the tickets stood outside the concert hall and started shouting his name.
Since 2011 when he had his first fan meeting in Japan, he has held one every year to meet with his Japanese fans. In order to communicate more with the fans, he planned this Asia tour himself. When he decided to visit Kobe and Yokohama, many Japanese fans had high expectations. Upon his arrival, bout 500 fans went to the Kansai International Airport to greet him.
Both fan meetings received hot feedback from the fans, proving his popularity as a hallyu star. During the first half of the meeting So Ji Sub talked and interacted with fans. He also gifted lucky fans gave a bracelet he personally prepared.
During the second part of the fan meeting was his concert. He performed, “Picnic,” “Ruler,” and “Eraser,” which are from his “6PM…Ground” single that was released last year. He also performed “Pick Up Line,” which was released in 2011, and tracks from his new single album, “18 Years,” which was released on June 24.
After the fan meeting, So Ji Sub held a small “Car Parade,” for the fans. After wrapping up the concert and on his way to the hotel, he sat in a convertible where he greeted the fans.
Earlier on June 28 and June 29, So Ji Sub had a successful first fan meeting in Taiwan. About 3,000 fans attended each day, for a total of 6,000 fans. On July 26, a fan meeting will be held in Thailand. Following that, he will be continuing his Asia tour in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
