Lee Ji Ah Addresses Rumors About Her Being Transgender

Actress Lee Ji Ah revealed the truth behind the rumors about her looks.

On the August 11 episode of SBS’ talk show “Healing Camp,” Lee Ji Ah talked about the rumors regarding her being a transgender and her plastic surgery.

Lee Ji Ah first addressed the rumor about her being a transgender and said, “There were a lot of people who believed that. At the time when I started getting noticed through the drama ‘The Legend,’ my name was on and off the real-time search chart for about a month. There weren’t any past pictures of me and I didn’t have a lot of acquaintances, so people thought I changed my gender and that my acquaintances didn’t recognize me. It makes sense.”

Regarding the rumors about her being a male, she joked by saying, “But there are guys that I’ve dated.”

Continuing on, MC Lee Kyung Kyu asked, “Are you a natural born beauty?” Lee Ji Ah hesitated for a moment and acknowledged the fact that she got plastic surgery. She said, “Truthfully, I wanted a sharp and high nose but because of an inflammation, I had to remove it.”
