Luhan Reportedly Considers Role in Chinese Drama, Production Company Denies
Luhan is reportedly keeping himself busy and is considering a role in a Chinese drama only a week since he filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment to nullify his contract.
According to a report by China’s Tengxun Entertainment, Luhan has expressed his interest in participating in the new drama, “Zhu Xian” to the camp of popular Chinese actress Yang Mi.
According to the report, Luhan’s camp has expressed great interest in taking the male lead role of the new drama “Zhu Xian” to Yang Mi who manages her own agency. The drama “Zhu Xian” is set to begin filming next month.
However, this report is based on a widely spread rumor in the Chinese entertainment industry following Luhan’s lawsuit against SM Entertainment.
The concerned parties, including the production company of the drama as well as Yang Mi’s agency, have released their statements regarding the rumor.
A representative from Yang Mi’s agency said to China’s Southern Metropolis Entertainment Weekly, “We don’t have plans to scout for a new male actor. As the drama is in the planning stages, the director and actors are not finalized yet.”
However, even with this explanation from the production company, the rumors still don’t die down and buzz of Luhan’s move is still very much alive.
In other news, Luhan will be appearing on his first movie, “Back to ’20s,“ the Chinese remake of the movie “Miss Granny.” The filming for the movie wrapped up in July, and it is slated for release in March of 2015.
