Seo Taiji’s “ChristMalo.Win” Races to the Top Spot on 10 Music Charts

“ChristMalo.Win,” a track from Seo Taiji’s long-awaited comeback album “Quiet Night,” has shot straight to the top of 10 music charts according to statistics published on October 16.

The track was released at midnight on October 16, and, by 7 a.m. the same day, ten chart compilers had the song ranked at number one. These charts were: Melon, Genie, Naver Music, Daum Music, Mnet, Cyworld Music, Olleh Music, Bugs, Soribada and Monkey3.

As its title suggests, “ChristMalo.Win” has a Halloween-related theme, and a chorus of “Trick or Treat?” can be heard throughout. In typical Seo Taiji style, the musical theme of the song is nothing if not unique, effortlessly blending Trot rhythms and dubstep elements.

Seo Taiji is set to play a concert, also called “ChristMalo.Win,” at Seoul’s Jamsil Olympic Park on October 18.
