Lee Kwang Soo Confirms Casting as Male Lead in New Movie “The Mutant”
Actor Lee Kwang Soo has been confirmed to make his big screen comeback through a new movie titled “The Mutant.”
With his deep and sincere acting, as well as increasing presence as a scene stealer in dramas and movies—such as “Good Friends” and “It’s Okay, That’s Love”—Lee Kwang Soo has been cast in “The Mutant” as the male lead.
This film is said to be a part of CJ E&M’s ‘Butterfly Project,’ which is a project created to discover talented and capable new directors. It is the first production to come out of this industry-university collaboration between CJ E&M and Korea National University of Arts.
“The Mutant” is the work of director Kwon Oh Kwang, who was the screenwriter for the first-ever Korean short film to win at Cannes International Film Festival, “Safe.”
The movie is expected to premiere next year, and the cast and crew will begin filming by the end of this year.
