Im Han Byul Announces Departure from Monday Kiz
After four years as a member of the band, Im Han Byul of Monday Kiz has announced his departure from the group.
On November 27, Im Han Byul left a sincere message on his Instagram.
In the letter, he explains how the future of the group has been under discussion since their team member Lee Jin Sung enlisted in the army in the beginning of the year, and how he has finally decided to start anew as a solo artist.
After thanking the members of Monday Kiz for respecting his decision to leave the group, Im Han Byul offers his most sincere apologies to the fans for not informing them earlier. Finally, the singer promises to return with good music.
Monday Kiz debuted in 2005 with the album “Bye Bye Bye,” and has since released four additional studio albums. In 2008, member Kim Min Soo tragically passed away in a motorbike accident, and Lee Jin Sung took a two-year hiatus to recover from the shocking incident. Im Han Byul and Han Seung Hee joined the group as new members in 2010.
Meanwhile, Im Han Byul recently signed with YMC Entertainment and kicked off his solo career by releasing his solo debut song, “Macaron,” on November 27.
