Kang Ha Neul Makes Special Appearance on "Punch"

Photos of actor Kang Ha Neul together with actress Lee Young Eun have been released following the former’s filming of his cameo for SBS drama “Punch.”

Kang Ha Neul’s appearance in the drama had been uncertain for a while due to his tight schedule, but his friendship with the show’s director of photography, Yoon Dae Young, with whom he worked on the drama “Angel Eyes,” drove him to find the time to come film the cameo scenes. In the recently filmed episode, Kang Ha Neul plays the role of a young prosecutor who meets Hyun Sun, the little sister (Lee Young Eun) of main character Park Jung Hwan (Kim Rae Won), for a blind date. In the show, the meeting comes when Jung Hwan is told he will not live following a failed brain surgery and feels the need to find a reliable replacement for his mother and sister after he is gone.

Pictures released ahead of the show’s December 29 broadcast show the slightly awkward scene of Kang Ha Neul and Lee Young Eun’s characters carefully listening to Kim Rae Won’s character’s appeal. Another photo shows the three actors along with producer Kim Hyo Un and director of photography Yoon Dae Young following the completion of the shooting.

“Punch” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. (KST). However, because SBS will air its entertainment awards show Tuesday, December 30, the series’ sixth episode will be pushed back to Monday, January 5.
