Kangnam Forces Others to Accept His New Year's Bows for Pocket Money

M.I.B‘s Kangnam forces Kim Kwang Gyu to accept his New Year’s bows.

MBC‘s latest episode of “I Live Alone” tells the story of the members on New Year’s Day.

Kangnam, Jeon Hyun Moo, and Yook Joong Wan pack up some New Year’s dishes and visit Kim Kwang Gyu at his home. Kim Kwang Gyu is initially flustered by the unexpected visit, but when he hears that they have food for him, shows off his trademark wide grin.

As they are talking, they get into the topic of New Year’s pocket money. When Kim Kwang Gyu mentions that his nephew is similar in age with Kangnam, Kangnam declares that he would be bowing to Kim Gwang Kyu, and even forces Yook Joong Wan and Jeon Hyun Moo to sit on the couch to accept his bow, as well.

Kangnam bows to the three older men, but they bow right back in order to not give him any money.

The legendary trot singer Tae Jin Ah accepts Kangnam’s bow with much more ease, and gives him a thick white envelope in return with the words “I love you, son” on it. He has also drawn a baby chick on the envelope, and explains that “This signifies my hope that Kangnam won’t forget the baby chick mindset that he first started out with even 30 or 40 years from now.”
