Shinhwa Continues Success with "Sniper," Topping Two Gaon Charts

Group Shinhwa has topped two categories in the Gaon music charts with their latest hit track, “Sniper.”

For the week of March 1-7, “Sniper,” the title track of Shinhwa’s 12th album, topped the Social Chart and Weibo Chart on Gaon. The Social Chart takes data from YouTube, Twitter, Weibo, and other social networking sites to determine the global influence of artists. The Weibo Chart ranks the popularity of Korean artists (already present in the general Gaon rankings) on the Weibo network, honoring the Hallyu artists popular in both Korea and China.

Shinhwa also placed second in the Album Chart and third in the Digital Single Chart.

The list of accolades doesn’t stop there, with Shinhwa winning first place on the MBC Music’s “Show! Champion” and Mnet’s “M!Countdown” this week. The group shared pictures after their wins, which show the members looking happy, proud, and playful. They also included a message of thanks to their fans.
