MC Mong’s “Love Mash” Tops Charts Two Weeks In a Row
MC Mong’s “Love Mash” has topped the charts two weeks in a row, despite his lack of promoting the song.
According to Gaon Chart on March 19, “Love Mash” won first place on the combined digital chart and streaming chart between March 8 and 14. It had already topped charts the week before, from March 1 to 7, in three different categories: combined digital chart, download chart, and streaming chart.
“Love Mash,” the title song for MC Mong’s latest album “Song For You,” tells the story of a man who is changed for the better after meeting the love of his life. Not only was the song made in collaboration with Yoon Gun, but featured Chancellor as well. Even before its release, the album was the center of attention because of MC Mong’s previous scandal of dodging military service.
Meanwhile, Ga In’s “Apple” took second place, Shinhwa’s “Sniper” took third, Beenzino’s “So What” fourth, and Kissum, San E, and Tae Wan’s “Superstar” fifth.
Ga In’s “Apple” won first place on the download chart, while Super Junior D&E’s “The Beat Goes On” was top on the album chart.
