We Got Married” had been maintaining a steady rating of 4 to 5 percent of viewers nationwide each week, but that number dropped drastically this week after a video of Yewon and Lee Tae Im‘s argument was uploaded online.

After seeing the video, many Korean netizens have been calling for a boycott of the show in response to the revelation that Yewon, one of “We Got Married”‘s new stars, had previously lied to the public about the incident.

This appears to have led to a considerable decrease in viewers this week. The previous episode, which aired on March 21, was watched by 4.8 percent of viewers nationwide. In comparison, the episode which aired on March 28 garnered only a 3.9% rating. That’s a difference of 0.9 percent. This is despite the fact that Yewon did not even appear in this week’s episode, as her segment with her virtual husband Super Junior-M’s Henry was omitted due to time constraints according to network MBC.

This drop to 3.9 percent in the ratings is unprecedented for “We Got Married.” In the past, it has enjoyed ratings as high as 7.6 percent nationwide.

According to one of the show’s producers, Henry and Yewon’s segments will resume with next week’s episode. They also state that nothing has been decided in regards to the demands that Yewon leave the show.
