Chicken CF Parodies Lee Tae Im and Yewon Video
With the latest controversy between Lee Tae Im and Yewon, Gibalhan Chicken used that momentum to shoot a commercial.
The CF uses the banmal (informal speech) issue to make a clever pun – banmali (half a chicken). The commercial uses the same video style of the actual video between Lee Tae Im and Yewon, where only one woman is seen, sitting and talking to someone off the screen.
“Are you talking banmali (half a chicken)?” asks someone.
The female cleverly replies, “No, no, hanmali (a whole chicken).” She then asks, “Unni, you don’t like chicken, do you?”
The camera then shoots away from her and focuses in on the chicken (in a box container) as the two continue to argue about banmali and hanmali. Son Ho Joon makes an appearance through the chicken package as he is the brand’s current model.
The parody makes light of the controversial issue storming the entertainment world. It certainly helps relieve the tension in the ongoing debate about whether or not Yewon was being rude or not to her senior.
