Yang Hyun Suk Reveals His Thoughts on CL's U.S. Debut

YG Entertainment’s leader Yang Hyun Suk revealed his thoughts on CL’s upcoming debut in the United States.

On April 26, while answering reporters’ questions after “BIGBANG 2015 WORLD TOUR ‘MADE’ IN SEOUL WITH NAVER,” he mentioned CL and her future plans in the United States. She just recently signed a deal with Scooter Braun’s SB Projects, which had helped Psy enter the American market.

“CL is focusing on her career in the United States, and all the work for her debut album is done. All that is left is planning promotions. Although we’ll only know if it’s a success when the results are out,” he said.

“CL has recently worked with foreign producers,” he said. “I think it’s a good team because she has famous and talented people at her side, such as me, Scooter Braun, Diplo, and Jeremy Scott.

“The way Americans look at a stage is very different from Asians. In the United States, several of the popular singers are from different countries. It’s truly a unique market because many famous singers such as Justin Bieber and Drake are not American,” Yang Hyun Suk added. “It’s time for an Asian female artist to rock the United States, since no Asian woman has ever done so in the past.”
