Red Velvet's Seulgi Cries While Watching Her Final Episode of "I'm Going to School"
The final episode for the current cast of “I’m Going to School,” which included Red Velvet‘s Seulgi, aired on May 5, and watching the whole thing on TV made Seulgi just as sad as she was on their final day of school.
In the episode, Seulgi stands in front of her classmates and says goodbye as she reads from a prepared letter. “To you cuties,” she says. “Hello! It’s me, Red Velvet’s Seulgi unni. Three days was only a short time, but because of you guys it was really happy.” It’s at this point that the tears begin to flow, and she has to stop for a moment.
“If there had only been more time, I would have been able to call each one of you by your names,” she manages to say despite all her tears. “I wanted to do that, but I couldn’t so I’m so sorry.”
She ends her short speech with, “You guys are the best!” and gives them all a big thumbs up.
The students in her class then give her hugs. “I want to hug each and every one of you!” she says brightly before bursting into tears again. The kids then begin to chant, “Don’t cry! Don’t cry!”
In her interview half an hour later with the production team, the poor girl is still crying!
And it seems like her tears weren’t over, because several days after the show was filmed, on May 5, a video was posted to the official Red Velvet Instagram of Seulgi crying while watching the show.
The video was taken by fellow member Joy, who laughs and says “Don’t cry!” as she captures Seulgi looking absolutely devastated on camera. Seulgi tries to hide her face with her hair as she leans against a clothes drying rack in tears.
Joy then writes in the caption to the video, “It seems that our Seulgi unni is still sad about saying goodbye to her friends. ㅜㅜ She cried again while watching ‘I’m Going to School’ on TV. ㅜㅜ It’s sad but funny.”
